Base Camp 970.728.2514
Three camps run daily at the Peaks: Pioneers, 12 weeks to 2.5 years; Explorers, 2.5 to 5 years; Explorer Camp, 6 to 11. Daily adventures include a morning nature walk, lunch on the trail, swimming, climbing wall, tennis and more. Reserve 24 hours in advance.

Junior Ranger Program 970.728.2173
At least once a week, the Bear Creek ranger takes kids for a free guided nature hike up Bear Creek. After finishing an activity book and completing a project, the kids are declared junior rangers.

The Parks & Recreation Department hosts a variety of sports camps in the summer for kids: basketball, baseball, volleyball and soccer. Call for the dates of American Red Cross swimming lessons.

Pinhead Institute is dedicated to raising science literacy by bringing scientists to the region's schools and sending students into the world of science in Washington D.C., the Amazon, China and other parts of the world.

The outdoor school offers ongoing adventure camps, which focus on hiking, climbing, team building and mountaineering for ages 4 to 12., and teen tock-climbing clinics.

Mountain biking, kayaking, rock climbing, rafting, horses, canoeing, gymnastics, mountainering, hiking visual and performing arts, ecology exploration and adventure travel are just some of the experiences offered by the academy this summer. Camps run four to 12 days.

A nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of people with disabilities by providing education and recreational opportunities that encourage personal growth. Summer activities include kayaking, rafting, fishing and adaptive biking. Winter is focused on skiing.

The Telluride Kid's Camp is offered by Telluride Ski & Golf Resort six days a week (June-September). Activities include swimming, hiking, fishing, classes in art, cooking and more. Each outdoor pursuit is matched by an educational element.

Youth Link offers recreational and educational activities for ages 11 to 15. The walk-in facility provides air hockey, computers, snack bar, Xbox, foosball, DVD player, large-screen home theater with a movie library, small skate park and more.
