REVELATION BOWL & OTHER NEW TERRAIN
Imagine European-style terrain far above tree line with a natural open bowl that offers advanced and expert skiing in an unbelievably beautiful setting. Find it in Telluride: The Telluride Ski Resort announces the opening of spectacular Revelation Bowl and its new Lift 15 for the 2008/2009 winter season.
Located on a northeastern aspect that naturally gathers deep snow and directly off the back of the famous Gold Hill and Chair 14, Revelation Bowl has long been the desire of those standing atop Gold Hill.
Choose ridgelines in either direction from the lift with steeper pitches and rock features on the far sides of the bowl. The center touts an expanse of rolling, advanced terrain and a groomed path for cruising.
The opening of Revelation Bowl is just part of Telluride’s recent expansions: Black Iron Bowl, Palmyra Peak and Gold Hill Chutes 6 through 10 opened to rave reviews last season. All told, the resort has expanded by nearly 400 acres, offering some of the most stunning skiing and riding on the continent. The resort’s 4,425-foot vertical drop is now one of the longest in North America—and 3,845 vertical feet is lift-served.
