FlyingAt 9,078 feet above sea level, the Telluride Regional Airport is the world’s second-highest commercial airport. The drive from the airport to Telluride or Mountain Village takes approximately 15 minutes. If you are unsure of the status of your flight, call your carrier at least three hours before your planned departure. The following airports provide the best access to Telluride and Mountain Village. Shuttles or taxis are readily available to deliver you to your destination. Because carriers and services change seasonally, it is best to contact a reservationist to check for direct flights and specials. If visibility falls below instrument approach minimums, your flight may be diverted to the Montrose Regional Airport or the Cortez Airport. In that event, ground transportation is available; allow 1.5 hours for a one-way trip from those airports. For reservations, call 800.525.3455.
